Abstract In order to improve the application effect of the impeller in the fan, taking the 9-19 centrifugal fan in Xin 'an Mine as an example, a mechanical analysis method of the fan impeller based on finite element analysis is introduced. The three-dimensional model of the fan is constructed by ANSYS software. After meshing, constraint conditions and load setting, the static and modal characteristics of the fan are analyzed respectively to understand the force characteristics of the fan. Based on this, the structure of the fan impeller is optimized and improved. The practice shows that the improved fan impeller has good use effect, reduces the frequency of damage, and ensures that the centrifugal fan can operate safely and stably in coal mine production.
