Abstract In view of the long duration, the high labor intensity and material waste by way of excavating and enlarging in large section open-off cut, the intellectualized driving and anchor machine was used in the simultaneous drifting of No.13102 Face. Engineering practice showed that the construction plan of subarea roadway excavation and dislocation parallel operation improved construction efficiency. The period was shortened by 12 days, the manual investment was saved by 540. This technology avoided the high intensity operation and the material waste in the second lane excavation, achieving good results in mine replacement, economic benefits and safety operation.
