Abstract In order to detect and release the accumulated water in the goaf on both sides of the upward mining isolated island working face in Xingdong Mine, the technical process of detecting and releasing the old goaf water along the goaf excavation roadway was improved, and various measures of circulating pressure limiting water drainage and centralized drainage of the old goaf water were combined, which greatly shortened the roadway excavation period and eliminated the threat of the old goaf water disaster of the working face, It provided a new technical route for the follow-up water prevention and control of isolated island working face, and also provided data for the study of the filling rate of gangue filling working face and the water filling coefficient of goaf.
