In view of the red phenomenon the PE plastic film end of Jinxing Plastic Packaging Branch, the reason was analyzed, and the simulation experiment was carried out. The results show that the reason of color change is the gaseous nitrogen oxide NOx, decomposed by cellulose nitrate at high temperature has redox reaction with phenolic antioxidants in the film to form colored quinones.Meanwhile, the measures to avoid discoloration were proposed.
