| Numerical simulation study and control of top coal leakage in the ending face of fully mechanized caving face |

Abstract Through field investigation and numerical simulation methods, the distribution law of stress field and displacement field at the ending face of 9102 fully mechanized caving face was analyzed and researched, and four zones for the development of coal cracks at the end face of fully mechanized caving face were proposed. In the case, there were 4 problems. Using UDEC numerical simulation software, the control parameters that affected the end face top coal and coal wall instability and failure were numerically simulated. The analysis showed that the end face distance, the support force of the support and the thickness of the direct roof rock layer were important parameters for controlling the end face top coal stability. According to each parameter, the corresponding reasonable control range value was obtained, which provided a theoretical basis for the control of the caving roof at the end of the fully mechanized top coal caving face under similar conditions, with guiding significance for the safety and efficiency of top coal caving.
