Abstract In order to solve the technical problems of severe deformation and damage of surrounding rock in dynamic pressure roadway and difficult support, numerical simulation and on-site monitoring were used to study the plastic failure characteristics of surrounding rock of No. 9 coal seam transportation roadway in Longdingshan Coal Industry, the surrounding rock control scheme of combined support of "high-strength anchor cable + grouting" was determined. The on-site monitoring data showed that the approaching amount of the roof and floor of the two sides were stabilized at 360 mm and 260 mm, respectively. The new support scheme can better control the stability of the surrounding rock.
