| Analysis and research of the effect of water quality on steel corrosion in coal preparation plant |

Abstract Aiming at the corrosion of the steel structure in the main washing workshop of the Buertai Coal Preparation Plant, the effective control measures were put forward. The water samples of different processes in lump coal and slack coal systems were collected. The contents of chloride, sulfate and bicarbonate in water samples were analyzed. The polarization curves of 45# steel under the action of corrosion water, water of B and S coal preparation plants were measured. In order to explain the relationship between water quality and steel corrosion, the corrosion products and coal gangue were analyzed. The results show that the content of chloride ion and bicarbonate in the water of Buertai Coal Preparation Plant is 593.6 mg/L and 881.4 mg/L respectively. Under the same coal preparation process, the water quality of B coal preparation plant had serious effect on 45# steel corrosion. Under the action of chloride ion, the corrosion current of steel was obviously increased, and the chloride ion penetration ability is strong. In a word, strict control of water quality indicators had important guiding significance on preventing the corrosion of steel structure.
