Abstract No. 9 coal seam in the west area of Qipanjing Mine was taken as example, by analyzing hydrogeological conditions and water bursting geological factors, fault water filling was the main reason of No. 9 coal seam water burst, the key of No. 9 coal seam water prevention and control was to explore water conductivity of the fault, with reference and significance of water prevention and control in Qipanshan Mine of Zhuozishan coalfield.
