Ground regional exploration and control is the core technology to ensure the safe mining of coal seams in North China type coalfields ( especially in complex mining areas such as Huainan ), and to prevent and control the floor Ordovician limestone water disaster and roof water disaster. Aiming at the problem of sparse boreholes and insufficient design accuracy of traditional expected profile based on contour map in complex structural control area, this study innovatively applied the fine interpretation technology of three-dimensional seismic time profile in the technical system of " drilling-geophysical exploration-governance integration " to the ground region control project of coal mine. The core method was to accurately extract the three-dimensional seismic time profile along the designed borehole trajectory, finely analyze the underground geological structure ( structure, horizon ), and combine the time-depth relationship of the key marker layer with the sparse borehole exposure information to construct a high-precision geological model to support the exploration and management design. The application effect showed that the accuracy of the expected profile and the targeting of the branch hole trajectory design were improved( the structural identification accuracy is improved by about 35 % ), and the layer entry rate of the target layer was increased from 62 % to 87 %, which significantly reduced the rework risk caused by the substandard layer entry rate and improved the efficiency and safety of the control project. This study verified the effectiveness and necessity of the technology in the exploration and control design of sparse boreholes and complex structural areas, and provided strong support for optimizing the technical system of ground regional control and improving the success rate of major water disaster prevention and control projects. It had broad application prospects in deep mining areas and complex structural areas of similar North China-type coalfields.
