Based on the theory of regression analysis, the development characteristics of small fault structure in Wangzhuang Coal Mine were analyzed in depth. Through the statistics of the properties of 304 faults, it was found that normal faults were dominant, and small faults were mainly with a drop of less than 5 m. Through the analysis of the parameters of fault strike, dip and dip angle, the prediction model of the extension length of small fault strike was established by using mathematical geological method. The model could effectively predict the extension length of small faults, which provided an important reference for coal mining design and safety production. The research results were helpful to understand the development characteristics of small faults in Wangzhuang Coal Mine, and had practical significance for guiding the rational layout of the mine and optimizing the mining process.
