Abstract:Aiming at the problem of large energy consumption in the working process of underground high-voltage and high-power application equipment, in order to reduce energy consumption and improve equipment performance, this paper proposes to apply the high-voltage inverter based on modular multilevel converter (MMC) structure to the underground frequency conversion system. The frequency conversion system can effectively improve the working efficiency and energy consumption of high-voltage and high-power equipment. The topology, working principle, modulation technology and sub-module capacitor voltage balance of the modular multilevel converter are mainly introduced, and the simulation and verification of the downhole high-voltage frequency conversion system are built in Matlab-Simulink software. The simulation results show that the system has good dynamic performance, which can realize the normal operation of the underground frequency conversion system and the induction motor, and the waveform output is basically stable. It is of great significance to solve the energy saving of the underground medium and high voltage high power operation equipment.
