Abstract: In order to study the problem of heat disaster caused by friction between coal and belt in the main roadway of belt conveyor in Huayang No.2 Mine, a physical similarity simulation experiment platform was built by using YRH700 infrared thermal imager and equal proportion belt conveyor friction fire simulator, and the lean coal of No.2 Mine in Huayang No.2 Mine was selected as the coal sample for the experiment. The results show that with the increase of friction time, the contact between coal and tape is from point to line and then to surface. In the direction along the long side of tape, the contact position between coal sample and tape forms a ' high temperature zone ' with temperature gradient distribution, and the temperature of the ' high temperature zone ' is proportional to the friction time.
