Three-dimensional seismic exploration is a very mature effective technical means to detect underground concealed structures in coalfields. There are also a lot of software for three-dimensional seismic exploration and interpretation. But most of the software needs to be installed on workstations, which has high requirements for computer configuration. For front-line staff who have been on business for a long time, a software that can be installed on an ordinary laptop is very practical. The VVA seismic attribute interpretation software can be installed on an ordinary computer. The operation method is simple, the interpretation method is flexible, the seismic attributes are rich, and the display interface is diverse. Based on this, the VVA seismic attribute interpretation software was used to extract a variety of seismic attributes, fractured likelihood analysis, spectral decomposition analysis, etc., and its diversified display window was fully applied. Combined with geological data, through the multi-directional and multi-angle comparative analysis of seismic time profile and seismic attributes, the hidden structure of coalfield was explained. Finally, three hidden faults, three hidden collapse columns and two goafs in No.11 coal seam were accurately explained, and the interpretation results were reliable. All of which have been verified by the mine.
