Although the investment of coalbed methane horizontal well is high, its yield is higher. With the progress of drilling technology and geosteering technology, more and more horizontal wells are constructed in coalbed methane development, and the drilling accidents will occur accordingly. In the construction of horizontal wells, the guide drilling string is one of them. The accident is difficult to deal with, especially the successful cases of coalbed methane horizontal wells. This paper introduces in detail the process of successfully fishing the landing guide drill string, and analyzes the precautions in drilling and handling accidents.
