Based on the rock’s characters of deformation and strength, the structural motion from deformation, bed separation and fracture to structure change was analyzed. The structural forms in the process of mining were also analyzed combined with displacement of rock. Simulation analysis showed that many kinds of structure forms existing in the overlying strata were constantly transforming with working face mining. Rock structure transformation process was the arch structure or the bell structure-masonry beam or the arch structure. Bell structure was prone to be formed at a higher level above the face, while the masonry beam or arch structure was usually formed at the lower level. A variety of formations existed in the process of working face advancing, and had the characteristics of time and space transformation, which showed the complexity and diversity of strata behaviors.
