In order to solve the problem that the production safety of No.1 mining area of Sanjiaohe Mine affected by goaf of the adjacent mine, it was decided to set up the waterproof wall in the main roadway of the mining area. The thickness, position and strength of the waterproof wall were calculated according to the design and application of the specifications, manual and relevant mechanical formulas. The selected concrete strength and cutting depth was combined with the mechanical parameters of the surrounding rock of the roadway. The results showed that the thickness of the waterproof closed wall was 1.5 m, the distance between the outer wall and the crossing was 3.5 m, and the strength met the requirements. After on-site construction, the stability of the waterproof wall was good, which proved the feasibility of the design scheme, and provided theoretical basis and technical support for the setting of waterproof wall in other similar mines.
