Based on long-term actual monitoring data records of shallow groundwater in Yushen Mining Area, a typical borehole observation record was selected to comprehensively analyze the spatial-temporal changes of the groundwater level in the shallow groundwater area of the area. The annual variation of shallow groundwater level in Yushen mining area ranged from 0.26 to 2.48 m, and the water level variation in most areas ranged from 0.9 to 1.6 m. The fuzzy cluster analysis method was used to classify the types of shallow groundwater level changes in Yushen mining area. By studying the water level change laws and main influencing factors in different types of water level fluctuation types, the types of dynamic changes in shallow groundwater levels could be divided into three types: climate type, climate-mining type, and engineering activity-climate type. But so far, coal mining activities impact on the shallow surface water table of the Quaternary in the Yushen mining area was small, and climate was the most important factor.
