In view of the shotcrete-bolt coal gangue mountain of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in the Gequan Mine surrounding environment, content and the distribution characteristics of the system were conducted. By using the theory and methods of organic geochemistry, meteorological chromatograph extract of the sample was analyzed, and the internal standard method was adopted to sample types and content of PAHs carried on the quantitative calculation. With soil background values in the results of comparison, the cause of abnormal PAHs was found out to effectively control the environmental pollution of coal gangue piles, which had important guiding significance.
