In order to obtain the parameters and laws of surface deformation and guide mining under buildings, water and railway of Xinsandi Mine, through the collation and analysis of observational data of 407,501,413 mining faces in the mine, the parameters and laws of ground surface deformation under strip mining conditions were obtained. The results showed that under the condition of strip mining, the law of surface deformation was similar to that of the whole mining, but the amount of subsidence was obviously less than that of the whole mining. Reasonable mining sequence and reserve width, and strip mining surface subsidence process was a gentle process, which is very beneficial for the protection of surface buildings.
