Preparation of multicomponent modified ferric oxide and study on the performance of hydrogen sulfide removal

Multicomponent modified ferric oxide composite desulfurizer was prepared by co-precipitation method, the effects of different elements ( Cu, Zn, Al, Ce, La ) on the performance of hydrogen sulfide removal by ferric oxide were investigated in a self-designed experimental system. The results show that the desulfurizer LaO2-Al2O3-Fe2O3, CuO-Fe2O3, ZnO-Fe2O3, Al2O3-Fe2O3, CeO2-Fe2O3 and LaO2-Fe2O3 were prepared by co-precipitation, when the inlet air concentration of H2S was 3 000 mg/m3, the heating temperature was 25~40 ℃ and the air speed was 4 200 h-1, their sulfur capacity is 9.30%, 5.81%, 5.32%, 8.8%, 6.89% and 7.86% respectively. The LaO2-Al2O3-Fe2O3 sulfur capacity is the highest, and the sulfur remvoal efficiency is the best.
