There were personal safety issues in auxiliary shaft cage shutter of Hexi Mine, its opening and closing were manual that needed to pay more labor quantity, and the space distance between cage and derrick was short so that regular automatic roller blinds couldn't be installed here. Thus, a new type of mine automatic shutter door was needed. Secondary shaft automatic shutter door was selected after lots of technical transformation, which not only avoided some disadvantages of manual shutter, but improved coal safety production.
