Dalbavancin is a new type of semisynthetic glycopeptide antibiotics for injection.It is used in complicated infection and antimicrobial treatment of infection caused by muti resistant bacteria.Dalbavancin has antibacterial activities against gram-positive bacteria，and has a particularly strong activity against methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus. Dalbavancin is also active against antimicrobial-resistant gram-positive pathogens，including penicillin and ceftriaxone-resistant staphylococci，non-van A enterococcal species，and also active against G+ anaerobic bacteria. The mechanism, the preparation technology and clinical trials of dalbavancin were introduced.It was pointed out that dalbavancin had a unique pharmacokinetic properties,it was obtained from the microorganism fermentation and it had nice effect on catheter-related bloodstream infection and skin and soft-tissue infections. It was a new semisynthetic glycopeptide antimicrobial.
