Statics correction is the most important part of oil gas and coal field seismic exploration, solving the problem on seismic data caused by near surface relief, low surface, and the violent horizontal variation of the falling speed belt is the purpose,and it's significant to handle seismic data of complicated mountain area. Refraction static correction and tomostatics are regular statics correction in coal exploration. Based on the data of complicated mountain area in Shanxi Province,applicability and merits and faults of this two kinds of statics correction technology were analyzed in this paper.
