Shallow deep mine is with characteristics of thin bedrock, soil loose, with the working face advancing overlying strata full thickness cutting down, no "three zones" movement and deformation, water inrush hazards, surface water resources loss. Based on the analysis of the characteristics of the development of roof guide water cracks, the coal mining method itself, and a set of system for the shallow coal seam water protection and water extraction technology system was presented.. The main points of the technology were: speeding up the speed of the working face, setting the reasonable support intensity, thick mining limited at the roof first weighting place, and local filling mining in cut eye. The simulation analysis showed that the fast advancing long wall working surface could effectively weaken the permeability of the overlying strata, and reduce the loss of water resources.
