Based on collecting the hydrogeological data of Linhuan mining area in Huaibei sufficiently, the water abundance of limestone of Taiyuan Formation was analyzed and assessed. The results showed that the karst limestone of Taiyuan Formation in Linhuan mining area developed not well in level and vertical and the karst developed partly. The water abundance of limestone is weak on the whole and relatively good partly. The degree of development of karst weakens along with the depth as well as the water abundance weakens along with the increase of depth correspondingly. The aquifer of limestone in Taiyuan Formation in this mining area belongs to the aquifer of high pressure and weak water abundance.
