Based on the previous oil drilling water quality testing data, Through data collection and analysis, brine mineral resources in tertiary strata distribution characteristics, reservoir geological characteristics and metallogenic conditions in jizhong plain were discussed. The result showed that Hebei Jizhong Plain tertiary strata occurrence was with brine resources, stromatolite limestone horizon was Dongying group, two and three section of Shahejie Group, the buried depth was 2 500～3 000 m, 6 worth of exploration, development and utilization potential of brine, brine potassium geological prospecting target areas were found, which laid solid foundation for corresponding geological exploration work.
