Based on the complexity of the breaking and migration rule of the overburden in deep shaft large angle working face, with theoretical analysis, the rend and tendency of roof migration structure based on the measured data of Chenmanzhuang Mine deep shaft large angle working face. The rend makes small masonry arch structure, masonry beam structure on tendency and masonry plate structure as a whole. The height of three zones was calculated through the experienced formula. Micro seismic monitoring system, as a new-rise method, was used to examine the result of the height of three zones calculated through the experience formula, further studied the damage characteristics of overburden from the orientation of vertical, trend and tendency.
