Based on Qiyi Xinfa Mining Industry No. 5 mining area, No. 3 coal seam initial working face return air roadway occurrence geological conditions, on the basis of practical experience and theoretical calculation, anchor rod and anchor rope support parameters were settled reasonably, the installation technology of bolt anchor cable was settled, which effectively controlled the deformation of surrounding rock,  roadway two rib near quantity was about 0.2 m, roof-to-floor convergence quantity was 0.18 m, the technology improved the bearing capacity and stability of the roadway surrounding rock itself, increased the stability of roadway in its service period, which provided technical experience and reference for similar working face.
