Aiming at the problem of insufficient support capacity and lack of energy absorbing design of ZHD6000 anti-impact hydraulic support in Chenjiashan Mine under the condition of underground impact pressure, this paper studied and designed a set of toothed metal cutting energy absorption structure. The structure absorbed the impact energy by cutting the workpiece with the tool to prevent the failure of the hydraulic support 'burst cylinder'. The simulation analysis and field experiments showed that the energy absorption structure significantly improved the anti-impact performance of the hydraulic support, and the key indexes including total energy absorption, energy absorption efficiency and load fluctuation coefficient met the actual requirements, which provided technical support for safe and efficient mining of coal mines under complex geological conditions.
