In this paper, according to the coal mine safety regulations and related standards, the selection and design of the overhead passenger device is studied for the personnel transportation demand of the upper warehouse lane, the south wing belt lane and the second panel belt lane in the south wing of Gulong Coal Industry. Through calculation and analysis, the key parameters such as transportation distance, running speed and personnel quality are determined. The RJKY90 removable hanging overhead passenger device is selected, and its traction wire rope, driving wheel and braking device are checked and selected in detail to ensure the safety and reliability of the device and meet the transportation needs of mine personnel.
