Tunlan mine 12507 working face was taken as an example, application of transient electromagnetic method in mine roadway leading prospecting was introduced . Through the comparison between the detection results and the actual exposure conditions, the transient electromagnetic response characteristics of the fault structure without water conduction were studied and analyzed. The results showed that fault structure without water conduction was reflected in the 2-D apparent resistivity profile as the "high resistivity trap" anomaly area, which can qualitatively explain the general location and water availability of the fault structure, and effectively guide the safe mining of the lower roadway in Tunlan Mine.
