In the production process of coal enterprises, methane is separated from the mixed gas which main cornponents are carbon monoxide, hydrogen and methane by the cryogenic separation technology, and reused .The specific process of the cryogenic separation technology was introduced, its technical principle, and its advantages and disadvantages were analyzed. It is pointed out that the cryogenic separation technology has been popularized in coal chemical industry because of high purity gas and simple process, but the problem of low utilization ratio of gas needs to be solved.
