In order to improve the accuracy of heavy medium shallow groove separation, cold well coal preparation plant was taken as an example to introduce the type, working principle and application of heavy medium shallow trough separator in cold coal well coal preparation plant. The results showed that heavy medium shallow slot separator had good effect and superiority in the separation.
