With different aromatic amines as raw material, 1, 2 - dichloroethane as solvent, different aromatic isocyanates were synthesized by solid phosgene method. 5-Amino tetrazole was synthesized from dicyanodiamide and sodium azide. Then romatic isocyanate and 5 - amino tetrazole reacted to form different aromatic tetrazole ureas. The physical constants, UV and IR of tetrazole ureas were determined respectively, and tetrazole ureas were identified as target compounds by systematic spectral analysis and study. Through determing the plant growth activity of tetrazole ureas on towel gourd, it is found that these compounds have good activity as plant growth regulator.
