In order to identify the water-richness and zoning rules of coal roof water-filled aquifer, on the basis of analyzing the mine geological and hydro-geological information comprehensively, the multi-geological information that effecting the water-richness of the aquifer was collected and the main controlling factors about the water-richness of the aquifer was confirmed, and then the thematic maps of each main controlling factors using GIS, afterward the weight coefficients of every main factors were settled. Finally overlying the multi-geological information and getting the zoning rules and evaluations about the water-filled aquifer water-richness over the coal seam roof were conducted.
