Because the pigment particles are carried into the viscose original fluid system using the water as a carrier, almost no wastewater is discharged into the environment by the viscose fiber coloring way, water-based pigment will become a trend in the colored viscose applications, the production of the viscose fiber waterborne colorant has been gradually increased. The value index, wetting dispersing principle and grinding process etc. of waterborne colorant were analyzed. It is proposed that the colorant pigment can be better dispersed in water by choosing the suitable dispersant, the original particle size of the pigment can be selected below 0.5 μm, and the pigment must be milled to reach the stable fineness before being used.
