Based on theoretical analysis, numerical modeling method and taking application of neighbouring mine as example, reasonable width of chain pillar was determined, decreased by 12 m comparing with traditional chain pillar to reflect first supporting roadway with narrow coal pillar in Yanzishan Mine. Support scheme of roadway was designed by means of active reinforcement and passive pressure relief, which provided reference to similar working face mining in the future.
