Proximate analysis, ultimate analysis and calorific value analysis has been made for Northern Shanxi coal and Xinjiang mines. The simulation on Shell gasification process based on these analysis data was established. Then calculating the energy consumption of the two coal, and converting to the standard material energy consumption, finally the total energy consumption of the two coal was calculated. The result can be used as reference in selection of gasification device. Comparing the two coal gasification energy consumption, the conclusion is that the total energy consumption of two coal gasification is near 300 00 MJ/h. This mainly due to the difference amount of oxygen in two coal gasification, so the control the oxygen amount is very important for the gasification process and the total energy consumption.In addition, the analysis of control process for gasifier ,s load can make conclusion that control the amount of oxygen has a direct impact on slaging and synthesis gas components.
