Nano-SiO2 was modified by titanate coupling agent in order to improve its dispenrsion in PVC. The modification effect of nano-SiO2 was characterized by scanning electron microscopy( SEM ), and the effect of modification conditions on properties of PVC/nano-SiO2 composite were studied. The results show that the comprehensive performance of PVC/nano-SiO2 composite materials is better when the volume of titanate is 2.5%, the reaction time is 30 min and the reaction temperature is 95 ℃; the dispersion of modified nano-SiO2 is effectively improved.
