The calorific value difference of incoming coal and boiling coal is an important index for the fuel management of the coal-fired power factory. The reasons of big calorific value difference of incoming coal and boiling coal were analyzed from the sampling process in detail. It is pointed out that through using the corresponding countermeasures which are controlling the calorific value difference of incoming coal and boiling coal, doing well in the inspection of artificial sample preparation deviation and the analysis of sampling deviation, shortening the storage of coal, strengthening the management of coal deposit, and reducing the loss of coal deposit,etc., the index of calorific value difference can be improved greatly.
