Since the geological conditions of coal mine in our country are relatively complicated and most of the exploitation are underground, some gas disasters and water damages happen from time to time, the safety training of the workers in coal mine has always been the most important work in our country.The virtual reality technology, and a virtual reality simulation system for coal mine safety training using the technology were introduced. It was pointed out that the virtual reality technology provided a very effective mean for coal mine safety training，improved the level of safety training significantly.
