Abstract Supporting of the deep roadway was a complicated and important technology in the underground engineering field. For the study of the rock of roadway destruction instability mechanism, without cutting the arrangement of the stress and displacement of surrounding rock of roadway two posts, the drivage surrounding rock stress transfer characteristics of rock mass displacement and different depth were revealed. Monitoring results showed that the roadway to expose the early formed in the shallow surrounding rock stress concentration, concentrated stress of surrounding rock to deep shift over time, the final balance in 2.5 ~ 4 m within the scope of surrounding rock; Within the scope of 2 m accounted for over 75% of the total displacement of surrounding rock displacement, shallow mainly for loose and broken mobile deformation of rock mass deformation. Engineering practice showed that the technology obtained the good effect of governance, the surrounding rock deformation was reduced.
