Abstract In order to control the gas in the top coal caving mining face of coal and gas outburst mine, taking the control measures of Dashucun Mine in recent years as the background, the gas control means of high-level short borehole, medium-high pressure short wall water injection and gas control borehole are adopted. The outburst prevention prediction index △ h2 of the coal roadway excavation interval is stable at about 60 Pa, and the absolute gas emission of the working face during the excavation period is stable at about 1 m3 / min, which eliminates the outburst and gas overrun accidents, and solves the problem of gas control during the local unmining of the protective layer of the large coal working face and the subsequent mining period. This technology provides a reference for the future treatment of gas in the top coal mining face of coal and gas outburst mines.
