Abstract Aiming at the problem of high gas content and poor control effect in No. 97307 Face of No.2 Coal Mine of Shanxi Huayang Group Xinneng Co., Ltd., the comprehensive gas control technology is studied. On the basis of the original Y-type ventilation system of the mine, the air leakage volume in the goaf is reduced by pressure regulating and sealing, and the gas pre-drainage is carried out by drilling and drainage, so as to avoid the gas in the goaf from the gap of the retaining wall to the retaining section and reduce the gas content in the coal seam. Through the monitoring of gas drainage volume and air drainage volume, the gas drainage rate is 58.6 %, and the comprehensive gas control measures are obviously effective.
