Abstract Coal and other products mined in coal mining operations need to be transported many times. Belt conveyor, as a transportation equipment widely used in the coal industry, has the advantages of high efficiency, easy maintenance and low cost. However, the belt will appear in the process of conveying coal, and the traditional tail coal cleaning device has poor cleaning effect. In view of this phenomenon, taking the DTL120/150/2×315 belt conveyor of No.15304 Face in Xinjing Coal Mine as the research object, the tail coal cleaning device of the belt conveyor is reformed. The practice shows that the cleaning effect of the reformed coal cleaning device is remarkable, which effectively reduces the labor intensity of the operators, improves the service life of the belt conveyor, and brings good benefits to the safety production of coal mines.
