| Influence of the radius of the torque shaft unloading groove of the shearer cutting part on its torsional shear strength |

Abstract Aiming at the problems of overload protection and motor failure when the torque shaft of MG300/710-WD shearer cutting unit in Nangou Coal Mine is working, the influence of arc radius of unloading groove on the maximum shear stress of torque shaft is studied by means of ansys finite element simulation software. The results show that the maximum shear stress value of the torque shaft increases with the increase of the arc radius of the unloading groove. With the help of Matlab analysis software, the relationship between the maximum shear stress of the torque shaft and the arc radius of the unloading groove is obtained. The accuracy of the relationship is verified by simulation, which provides technical support for the design and improvement of the torque shaft.
