Abstract In order to ensure the safe and efficient installation and retracement of equipment in fully mechanized mining face, aiming at the problems of low safety factor, high labor intensity, large number of input personnel and long working time in the traditional moving and reversing process of fully mechanized mining face, the No.3509 fully mechanized mining face was taken as the background. The optimization technical scheme of supporting technology, support installation and retracement process and equipment before in working face was put forward.The analysis of field application results showed that the scheme reduced the moving and reversing time by 50 %, and the application effect was remarkable, which provided valuable experience for the moving and reversing of fully mechanized mining face under similar conditions.
