Abstract In view of the problems of short stroke, high propulsion frequency and long auxiliary time of the traditional self-moving tail of belt conveyor in Xishan Coal and Electricity Xiqu Coal Mine, DWZY1200/10800F super large stroke step-by-step self-moving tail is developed. The technical parameters, main structural characteristics and key technologies of the step-by-step self-moving tail are introduced, and the working design of the super large stroke step-by-step self-moving tail is emphatically described. The DWZY1200/10800F super large stroke step-by-step self-moving tail is applied in Xiqu Mine. The results show that the self-moving tail effectively reduces the frequency of equipment propulsion, reduces the auxiliary time of equipment handling and debugging, and reduces the labor intensity of workers. The application effect is good.
