Abstract Based on China's basic national conditions of rich coal and less oil, the development of coal chemical industry is the need of national strategic development, coal to ethylene glycol technology has beenpaid more and more attention by coal chemical industry. CO coupling to oxalate as a key step of coal to ethylene glycol, in the preparation process, the selectivity and yield of oxalate were directly affected by the type of catalyst support, cocatalyst, Pd loading, catalyst reduction temperature, CO coupling reaction temperature, feed gas ratio, space velocity and impurities. Through the study of various influencing factors, the change law is found, which provides a theoretical basis for scientific research, and has important guiding significance for industrial production.
