Abstract The chemical structure of sodium thiosulfate, sodium sulphate and sodium sulfite are similar. In order to have a deeper understanding of the molecular structure of sulfate, mid infrared (MIR) spectra (including one-dimensional MIR spectra, second derivative MIR spectra, fourth derivative MIR spectra and deconvolution MIR spectra) are used to study sulfate molecules (including sodium thiosulfate Study on the structure of sodium sulfate and sodium sulfite).The middle infrared spectroscopy absorption mode of sulphate molecular mainly included νasSO4-sulfate molecule,νsSO4-sulfate molecule,δasSO4-sulfate molecule,νasSO3-sulfate molecule,βSO3-sulfate molecule.In this study, the MIR spectrum analysis of sodium thiosulfate, sodium sulfate and sodium sulfite was carried out at the same time, which expanded the research scope of MIR spectrum in the field of sulfuric acid industry.
